Performing & Visual Arts

Creativity in all its forms is encouraged at our school and Music, Drama and Art play a central role in providing students with stimulating and rewarding opportunities to develop their creative expression. In addition to scheduled lessons, pupils can choose creative arts subjects as part of the extra-curricular programme, enabling them to hone the skills and knowledge they have acquired in class.

Active involvement helps students to develop an enjoyment and understanding of the arts, whether it is in a one-to-one music lesson, as a member of a choir, band or orchestra, taking a leading role on stage, performing as part of a large cast or being part of the back stage or sound and lighting crew in a production. We aim to offer a range of opportunities to ensure there is something to appeal to everyone.

Work by students displayed around the school reflects the talent and creativity that flows through the art department. School also trains students in choir singing and bagpiper band. School offers fine arts as a subject under humanities stream in classes XI and XII.
